Ocean & Martin provides strategic counsel to artists, with and without gallery representation, tailored to meet their individual needs and career objectives. Through leveraging our relationships with leading international galleries, advisors, curators, museum directors, art critics, public art programs, private and corporate collectors along with our PR and branding experience we help artists develop their market while ensuring their best interest is always the priority.
Artist Management & Representation
For artists currently without gallery representation, we serve as the main guide through the complex and increasingly nuanced art market. O&M takes pride in being a reputable advocate and unbiased resource for artists whether it's answering general art market questions or advising with or helping secure gallery representation. For artists who we represent exclusively, we actively advocate for institutional exhibition and project-based opportunities and can also help research artist residency programs or write grant proposals.
For artists with gallery representation, we can fill the role of a conventional studio manager or artist liasion by working with galleries and museums on the artist's behalf, serving as the first point of contact for the artist's studio. We coordinate domestic and international exhibitions, field museum loan requests, oversee production budgets, prepare insurance appraisals, create guests lists and host VIP dinners, facilitate private sales on the artist's behalf, and coordinate and oversee important studio visits and meetings with the press. We also offer archive and database management services.
